Primary exempt purpose to educate and strengthen the community to reduce child abuse and neglect. cpcan strives to prevent the maltreatment of children before it happens through advocacy, collaborative efforts, and by offering programs to the community including, a. stewards of children - child sexual abuse prevention training for adults b. mandated reporter training - teaching how to recongize and report suspected maltreatment of children c. annual trainings for professionals d. trauncy prevention programs in conjunction with the jackson family court e. safe sleep - to protect infants from sleep related death f. period of purple crying - to protect infants from sleep shaken baby syndrome g. community education - offer presentations and child safety and parent educational info
